OVERVIEW
Children of Promise Legacy Leadership Institute (COP LLI) is dedicated to developing today’s children into tomorrow’s leaders. The primary goal of COP LLI’s leadership training is to develop strong, confident, and capable character-based leaders that are empowered to transform their communities and the society in which we live. Our students are challenged to solve difficult and complex problems by learning to use critical thinking skills to make strategic decisions.

OUR MISSION
Children of Promise Legacy Leadership Institute (COP LLI) is committed to training our children on how to make a positive difference in their communities and in our world. COP LLI is dedicated to teaching and preparing a new generations of critical thinkers for visionary, effective, and ethical leadership. Our students will learn vital skills that create and enhance their leadership competencies while helping them make valuable contributions in their communities. Our instructors are committed to ensuring students have rigorous training in academic, intellectual, and social-emotional learning areas that will assist with their growth and ability to develop and apply practical leadership skills in their families, communities, and life.
OUR PARTICIPANTS WILL

Acquire and develop the skills and awareness necessary to become effective and productive leaders in their community, career, and society.

Learn to communicate with confidence effectively with abilities and skills that explore challenging issues.

Develop discipline and life skills that are essential to achieving established objectives and goals.

Engage in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities that support academic learning and social-emotional development.

Learn and implement the principles from “Leader in Me” curriculum including the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People ®

Learn the value of networking through program participation and interaction with fellow students, faculty, staff, and administration.

Learn chess, musical instruments, effective communication and listening skills through debate and performing arts.

Participate and attend annual Children of Promise Legacy Leadership Institute summer field trips to Catalina, Sacramento, and Washington, D.C.
SCHEDULE
The COP LLI program spans five daily 4-hour continuing sessions throughout the school with partial participation in the summer consisting of presentations, activities, field trips, and other related activities.
